Bahrain: Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al Ansari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to organizing the Third Asian Youth Games(AYG), reinforcing its position as a leading cultural destination for hosting major continental and international championships. This effort is under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Ansari highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ dedication to executing the directives of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Games, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of this continental sporting event, scheduled for October 22 to 31.
The Ambassador praised Shaikh Khalid’s commitment and ongoing support in providing the best security, logistical, tourism, and media arrangements through collaborative efforts between government ministries, agencies, and private sector institutions.
Al Ansari reviewed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ initiatives and preparations to facilitate the reception of delegations and official sporting figures, ensuring smooth consular and administrative procedures. He noted that these efforts reflect Bahrain’s authentic national identity in organization, hospitality, and warm receptions.
He also pointed out the collaboration between the Protocol Sector and the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies in implementing a comprehensive training program. This program equips supporting teams with specialized knowledge and skills in official protocol, reception etiquette, and professional handling of delegations and VIP guests.
