Young athletes to battle it out for 1677 medals in 24 sports at BAYGMedia Committee – Asian Youth Games 2025

The executive committee of the Third Asian Youth Games, set to take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025, has officially approved the event’s medals. This was announced during a press conference held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

The medals, adorned in the traditional gold, silver, and bronze, feature the official emblem of the Games at their center, surrounded by stylized elements representing the word “Bahrain.”

A remarkable total of 1,677 colorful medals will be awarded across 24 sports disciplines, including 505 gold, 503 silver, and 669 bronze medals.

The Games will showcase a diverse range of sports, including swimming, athletics (track and field + cross-country), badminton, 3×3 basketball, boxing, camel racing, cycling, equestrian (endurance + show jumping), esports, futsal, golf, handball, jiu-jitsu, judo, kabaddi, Muay, table tennis, taekwondo, teqball, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, beach volleyball, and beach weightlifting.

Over 5,000 male and female athletes will compete for these prestigious medals, marking a significant preparatory event ahead of the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, 2026.
